Having last year’s successful event as a guide, the YCA team is set to welcome you for an exciting program in Bangkok for the Second Entrepreneurship Week [EW2019]. This year’s theme “Entrepreneurship & Innovation for a Sustainable Belt and Road Region” aims to expand our discussion on how entrepreneurship, technology and innovation can be harnessed to build sustainable and inclusive communities along the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Entrepreneurship is central to AIT's mission. The AIT Entrepreneurship Center will be launched officially on 28 September 2019. We’ve designed EW2019 around three distinct but integrated elements. First, we have sessions with government representatives, academics and experts to build an understanding of the BRI as a development pathway and its impact in Asia, along with expert presentations on how social entrepreneurship fits into the BRI as a catalyst for inclusive growth in the region. Second, we have immersive visits that provide insights into Thailand’s enterprise ecosystem as well as a Social Enterprise Thailand Exhibition at the conference itself. Third, we have technical sessions with guest scholars on cutting-edge research on key areas relevant to social innovation and entrepreneurship.
EW2019 is itself designed as a social business. There is no conference fee. When registering, delegates will be able to choose which specific conference services to purchase from our roster of entrepreneurs. From accommodation and conference kits to refreshments and consumables, delegates will be able to directly experience Thailand’s unique enterprise culture

About Yunus Center AIT
Yunus Center AIT (YCA) has an action-learning approach with ongoing dialogue at its core towards becoming an effective, open platform with the professional capacity to process relevant information received from stakeholders and key constituencies within and outside of AIT and the social business community, and converting it into practical ideas for social business promoted and implemented through diverse partnerships and the effective use of learning outreach
In the recent years, YCA has grown exponentially in terms of network and influence. Working within the framework of 3Es – Engage, Educate and Empower, YCA has successfully forged meaningful engagements and collaborations. It has solidified partnership with Professor Yunus, Grameen Bangladesh and the Yunus network around the world. YCA is represented in editorial boards, conference organizing committees and consortiums. The YCA international internship program has received dozens of brilliant students who turned out to be effective ambassadors of the YCA brand. On June 2019, YCA hosted the 9th Social Business Day, the world’s largest gathering of the social business community composed of leading experts, academics, innovators, and aspiring business owners. This event also coincided with the celebration of YCA’s 10th year anniversary.
